Announcing our new Executive Director- Bree Loverich

A strong advocate for the screen industry, Bree Loverich has been recruited as the Executive Director of the Visual Effects Professionals Guild (VFXG).

As the inaugural Executive Director of the VFXG, Bree will be responsible for developing partnerships, membership, comms and marketing strategies as well as turning these plans into action.

“I’m passionate about supporting the VFX and animation sector to have their voices heard in key national conversations, such as the Screen Industry Workers Act, as well as supporting the guild to create a strong community where sharing experiences will help to grow our businesses,” she says.

“I also look forward to working on new guild initiatives with such an experienced board and expanding the VFX Guild’s membership to create a future focused and sustainable guild for generations to come.”

With export experience in screen and international education; screen facility development as well as extensive marketing and business development in her wheelhouse, Bree brings with her a wide-ranging network of partners from production, post-production, game development, government, screen organisations and the education sector.

Leveraging Bree’s work in establishing Screen CanterburyNZ, is something that Lance Lones, Chair of the VFXG, believes will benefit the guild and industry.

“Bree has been a powerhouse in uplifting the screen sector in the Waitaha Canterbury region via the development of the Screen CanterburyNZ from the ground up, including the establishment of NZ’s first regional incentive and a range of other successful screen initiatives. Myself and the board are excited to be working with her.”

The VFX Guild is pleased to have Bree’s experience and passion focused on the national VFX and Animation industry.
