WIFT NZ Gender Pay Gap Survey Results

The VFX Guild is pleased to see that WIFT (Women in Film and TV) has highlighted an important issue for our sector. WIFT’s recent research has revealed that there is a 22% gender pay gap in post-production. This is the first time that this problem has been accurately articulated and is a huge step forward for the sector to address the issue.

That’s why VFX Guild’s work with Screen Industry Workers Act (SIWA) is so important and why we will continue to advocate for fairer pay to ensure that there are standards set for VFX contractors regardless of their sex, including a rate card created for VFX and animation work.
