VFX INSTRUCTOR ROLE AT MASSEY

Massey University is looking for a part-time Visual Effects (VFX) instructor(s) to work with a small group of dedicated second-year and third-year VFX students in the Bachelor of Screen Arts with Honours major. 

The second year builds upon skills in Houdini, Nuke, and Maya including rotoscoping, camera tracking and colour grading.  The third year introduces additional rendering programs, shot work, mocap basics, virtual production, and proper workflow; the second half of the third year focuses on working on multidisciplinary projects.  Ideal instructor(s) would be proficient in these skills and connected to VFX industry in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

Position is for one academic year, approximately three-hours per week (can be evenings or Friday afternoons). Semester 1 runs 26 Feb- 31 May; Semester 2: 15 July- 18 October with a 2-week break in the middle of each semester.  Flexibility to offer some courses via Zoom, but the bulk of instruction needs to be face-to-face at Massey Wellington.
